Information about Versilia, in Tuscany
Versilia is a small area of the Tuscan coast, placed just in the north-west of the Tuscan country. The area of Versilia includes the municipalities of Viareggio, Torre del Lago, Massarosa, Camaiore and the so-called "Versilia Storica" to which four ancient municipalities belong to: Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta, Seravezza and Stazzema. All places that represent a perfect mirror of the natural beauties that is possible to find visiting this charming Italian region. In fact, also due to its strategic geographical position, the area of Versilia represents one of the most beautiful places of the world. Delimited by the sea and by the Apuane Alps, Versilia it is a real nature's masterpiace, just think about the extraordinary scenery offered behind the sea, by the marble mountains on the Apuane Alps - delimited by a national park. Over the years, this particular natural landscape encouraged the germination of a special kind of vegetation that also contributed to make Versilia a so unique place. Famous for its bath establishments and as a destination for summer holidays, Versilia is a place characterized by a strong interest towards folk culture and the typical local traditions; you will find many cultural and folk events (festival, celebrations, parties etc.) during your summertime there.
